Slingshot Media – is a production company dedicated to visual story telling that inspires hope,  changes perspective and could ultimately transform the nation.

Rob Schermbrucker who had been producing commercials with Kairos Moment Film & TV for years, was engaged in community development work in his spare time, and on the banks of the Zambezi River, an elderly man, named Kontra Mazi (means “Against the Tide”) stared at his camera and shared some insight with him , “Until the lion learns to write, history will always be told by the hunter”.

It was then that it suddenly dawned on him- the stories we tell, shape our communities and perspectives. To change the world, we need to change our perspective by the stories we tell.

Slingshot Media was set up as a vehicle to capture and create stories that would change the way people see the world. Rob Schermbrucker spends most of his time now traveling the African continent with his wife, drinking tea and sharing life with people- privileged to tell their stories.
